Terms of Carriage
These Terms of Carriage apply to transportation and delivery services arranged by NEX EXPO, including deliveries to and from Venues.
Scope and role
- NEX EXPO may act as a broker/arranger of transportation and may use third-party carriers, drayage providers, or agents to perform pickup, transport, and delivery.
- Service dates are target windows and are subject to carrier capacity, traffic, weather, Venue restrictions, dock schedules, and show operations.
- You must provide accurate shipment details, including contents, packaging type, weights/dimensions, and any special handling requirements.
EAC / exhibitor-appointed carrier and show-site deliveries
- When acting as an EAC, deliveries and pickups are subject to Venue rules, marshalling yard procedures, security protocols, dock scheduling, union labor practices, and show management requirements.
- NEX EXPO is not responsible for delays or additional charges caused by Venue congestion, missed appointments, restricted access, labor slowdowns/strikes, decorator instructions, or exhibitor non-compliance with show rules.
- Additional charges may apply for waiting time, re-delivery, special appointments, off-hours access, marshaling yard fees, or other Venue-driven requirements.
Liability and declared value (transportation)
Standard included liability (transportation): Unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing, NEX EXPO's liability for loss or damage during transportation is limited to $0.60 per pound per article, up to a maximum of $5,000 per shipment.
Additional coverage: You may request additional declared value coverage at the time of booking (fees apply). NEX EXPO does not act as an insurer; any additional coverage may be provided through third-party coverage arrangements.
- Packaging must be suitable for transportation. NEX EXPO is not responsible for damage resulting from inadequate packing, normal wear, or inherent defects.

- Concealed damage: Report within 15 days of delivery.
- Final claim submission: Submit all documentation within 30 days of delivery (or first availability), including photos, packing details, and invoice/value proof.
- Failure to meet these deadlines may result in denial of the claim to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Prohibited and restricted items
You must not tender the following items without prior written approval (and in some cases, we may refuse them entirely):
- Hazardous materials, explosives, firearms, ammunition, and controlled substances.
- Perishables or temperature-controlled goods unless explicitly contracted.
- Cash, precious metals, jewelry, fine art, rare collectibles, or irreplaceable items unless explicitly agreed in writing and properly insured.
- Items prohibited by Venue rules or show management policies.
Force majeure
NEX EXPO is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, strikes, cyber incidents, or widespread carrier disruptions.
Storage Terms
These Storage Terms apply to Exhibit Assets stored in NEX EXPO or partner warehouse facilities.
What we store
- We store Exhibit Assets such as crates, pallets, booths, displays, signage, samples, and equipment for use in future shows.
- We may record received condition, visible exceptions, counts, and identifying marks. You are responsible for ensuring assets are properly labeled.
Customer insurance and COI process
Customer-provided insurance (primary): Customers are solely responsible for maintaining insurance coverage on all Exhibit Assets while in storage, including coverage for theft, fire, water damage, and other risks.
Certificate of Insurance (COI): Upon request (or as required for long-term storage arrangements), Customer will provide a COI naming NEX Worldwide Express Inc. d/b/a NEX Expo Express as Additional Insured and Certificate Holder. The COI should be sent to support@nexexpoship.com and must reference the storage location and Customer account name.
Limited warehouse liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, NEX EXPO's liability for loss or damage in storage is limited to $0.10 per pound per article, up to $2,500 per occurrence, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If you want higher protection in storage, you should obtain coverage through your insurer. NEX EXPO does not provide all-risk insurance for stored goods.
Fees, handling, and access
- Storage fees: Storage is billed per the rates and billing cycle shown in your account or agreement.
- Handling fees: Receiving, in/out handling, palletization, re-pack, labeling, and special handling may incur additional charges.
- Release scheduling: Retrieval and outbound delivery requests must be scheduled in advance and may be subject to warehouse cut-off times and Venue appointment rules.
Release authorization
- Only authorized users on the Customer account may request release, delivery, or transfer of Exhibit Assets.
- NEX EXPO may require written authorization, ID verification, and/or show documentation before releasing assets.
Warehouse lien and abandoned property
- Lien: Customer grants NEX EXPO a warehouseman's lien on Exhibit Assets for all unpaid charges (including storage, handling, transportation, and related fees), to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Non-payment: If amounts remain unpaid after notice, NEX EXPO may retain possession of Exhibit Assets and may dispose of, sell, or otherwise liquidate assets in accordance with applicable law to satisfy outstanding balances.
- Abandoned assets: If Customer fails to provide instructions or pay charges for an extended period, assets may be treated as abandoned after notice and handled as above.
